Taiwan earthquake death toll rises to 108

- A week after the earthquake in Taiwan, the number of victims rose to 108. Most of the dead were found among the rubble of a collapsed apartment building in the city of Tainan. In the apartment of sixteen floors were Saturday still searching for nine missing.

Local authorities called the chance that more survivors will be found among the rubble tiny.

The building collapsed last Saturday in an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.4. Surrounding buildings have remained standing. Investigated whether construction defects led to the collapse. Three former executives of the now defunct construction company stuck.
