Syria fighting just before truce

- Several hours before the Russian-American plan for a cease-fire in Syria must take effect, are east of capital Damascus reported heavy bombing.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights announced on Friday reported at least ten air strikes and artillery fire aimed at the city of Douma, an area controlled by rebels.

Rescue workers in the area let Twitter know that there are civilian casualties, but they did not say how much. Syrian military officials were not available for comment.
