A spokesperson for the rescue service says in the media that the victim was lucky that he was close to the boat that had brought him to the scene. The crew was able to provide first aid and take it to a helicopter platform. The shark had set its teeth deep in the flesh of the unfortunate diver, but had not caused disastrous tear wounds.
