Suspects gang rape Antwerp remain in cell

brussels - Two Belgians of African descent remain in custody for at least a month because of the gang rape of two Dutch women in Antwerp. The fate of two other suspects will be decided within a few days.

Attorney Ben Crosiers of one of the last two suspects speaks of 'new elements' in the criminal investigation. 'I wish to view these new pieces before pleading,' he says.

In the meantime it is clear that the gang rape was probably filmed, but the images remain untraceable. Several suspects, but also the two victims of 21 and 22 years have stated this.

Probably the images were made with Snapchat, so the police could not find the images again. The suspect himself denies having made a movie, but says he only used the mobile phone to light up the dark room.
