Suspect Stockholm Searched

stockholm - The suspect in the attack in Stockholm was wanted in Sweden to be deported. The four deceased victims of the attack have been identified. These are two Swedes, a Belgian and a Briton, said a police officer Sunday.

The suspect, a 39-year-old Uzbek, had applied for a residence permit in Sweden. The request was refused and the man was out of the country. Saturday it was announced that the name of the Uzbek had surfaced in the information gathered by the Swedish security police.

According to the Swedish police officer was aware that the defendant had sympathies for extremist organizations like Islamic State.

The attack drove a truck into shoppers and shop. Besides the dead, there were fifteen wounded.
