- A 26-year-old man from the American state of Connecticut decided to take matters into his own hands and showed his penis in a court to prove his innocence. Desmond James was suspected of a rape that took place in 2012. According to the raped woman, the perpetrator's penis was lighter than the rest of his skin.

Desmond James was selected by the woman from a group of photographs as the possible perpetrator. During the trial last week, his lawyer said that his client's penis is darker than the rest of his body. And there is only one way to prove it.

According to Judge Elpedio Vital, James indeed had the right to defend himself by showing his genitals. And so it happened.

The jury, consisting of two women and six men, were not warned by the judge that they were going to see this 'hard evidence'. He had said that she would be presented with evidence in the case that 'is sensitive and very personal', according to the New York Post.

So James walked forward and stood in the middle. He lowered his pants, raised his shirt, and showed his penis. He stood there for ten seconds while he said nothing, according to witnesses who were there.

The jury reacted shocked. Certainly one jury member looked away when James tried to make his case hard. Others in the courtroom struggled to suppress their laughter. Then James pulled his pants up again.
