canberra - A British doctor has fired a shark attacking him while surfing. 'I saw the head of shark coming out of the water with his teeth, and I hit him,' said 25-year-old Charlie Fry against the Australian 9NEWS.

The attack took place for the coast of the Australian state of New South Wales, where Fry was surfing with friends. On pictures it can be seen that he wounded his arm and shoulder. 'I did not feel bitten, it felt like I got a blow,' said the Brit, who was afraid of his life.

'It was pure adrenaline. I sincerely thought I'd die, 'said Fry. The Brit was fortunate that several of his surfing friends also act as doctors. They provided first aid and brought him to a hospital.

Fry admitted that he had not seen his lover well, but he estimated that the fish was 1.8 meters long. 'Maybe a little smaller,' he added. The doctor expressed the fear that the predator eventually appears to be a lot smaller. That would ruin his tough story, he joked.
