Suppose old warship buys 'several hundred thousand dollars'

newcastle - An Australian couple that was looking for a boat, has tapped a former New Zealand warship. The 44 meter long colossus, according to broadcaster ABC, is now anchored in the home of the new owners, Paul and Wilma Adams.

The couple does not want to use the ship as a pleasure yacht, but has an ecological mission. The Australians want to prevent fuel from leaking from ships that have sunk during the Second World War. Paul told during a diving trip in Micronesia to see how 'black oil' came from a wreck on the seabed.

The duo devised a plan to protect shipwrecks against corrosion, but needed a suitable vessel. After a search via the internet, Paul arrived at the warship, which has special facilities for divers. His partner calls it 'overwhelming' to own such a vessel that has cost 'several hundred thousand dollars'.
