World July 9, 2018 11:48

brussels - The branches of supermarket chain Delhaize in Belgium close one hour earlier Tuesday evening due to the semi-finals of the World Cup. The Red Devils meet France at 8 pm. Delhaize, part of the Ahold group, wants to give staff the opportunity to watch the entire game. The employees are simply paid.

The biggest competitors, Colruyt and Carrefour, do not adjust their closing times. ' Customers want to be able to do their shopping. They are not all supporters of the Red Devils ', says a Carrefour spokesman against Belga news agency.
