Suicide BMX legend Dave Mirra

- US BMX legend Dave Mirra and businessman, according to US media tragically deceased. Freestyle cyclist would have shot himself. He was 41 years old.

The shock is great in the BMX world. Mirra was one of the athletes who made the big freestyle bike trips. At 17 he was already a professional BMX'er. He won with 24 pieces a record number of medals at the X Games, a sort of Olympics for extreme sports such as freestyle BMX and skateboarding.

Especially for the topfreestyler a game was developed. Mirra also made another trip to the rallycross, a sport in which you are driving fast cars racing on both hard and unpaved roads. He won bronze with 2008.

Skateboarder Tony Hawk responds aghast at Twitter. 'Goodbye Dave Mirra, a true pioneer, icon and legend. Thanks for all the great memories. Our hearts are broken. '

Mirra leaves a wife and two children.
