Student kidnapped and raped in Charleroi

charleroi - The Belgian police have arrested two persons for rape and deprivation of liberty. They are suspected of having locked up a 19-year-old student for three days in an apartment in Charleroi and sexually abusing her there. The pair appeared on Tuesday before the investigating judge and denied the allegations.

According to the victim, she was kidnapped by five people last weekend when she came from a nightclub in Brussels. She was taken to a studio in the center of Charleroi. She would have been drugged there and raped several times in three days.

Eventually the student managed to determine her location on her smartphone and to inform her brother. He went to the police, who intervened in the night from Monday to Tuesday. Agents in Charleroi were able to free the girl and pick up two suspects.
