Strong salary increase for Marine Le Pen

paris - Marine Le Pen, the leader of the French right-wing nationalist party Front National (FN), has earned 66 percent more than Emmanuel Macron since her lost presidential election against Emmanuel Macron. Her monthly wage increased from 3000 to 5000 euros net per month.

The salary that Le Pen receives from her party must be disclosed in French rules. The increase caused a lot of fuss on social media. 'I need it' was the only thing that Le Pen wanted to say about her salary through the French radio.

Until just before the French elections, Le Pen received more than 78,000 Euro net per year as a member of the European Parliament. That amount was halved when it turned out that she paid two employees with EU money while those people worked for the United Nations that had nothing to do with the EU. Therefore, she had to repay 300,000 euros to the EU.
