Storm Otto claims lives in Costa Rica

- Least nine people in Costa Rica have been killed by Tropical Storm Otto. Thousands of people have been evacuated, according to the Costa Rican newspaper La Nacion on Friday.

The Otto passage was accompanied by heavy rain. Especially the regions Upala, Bagaces and Los Chiles on the Caribbean coast have been severely affected by floods among others.

Otto also raged across southeastern Nicaragua. It is unknown whether there casualties.
