Stoltenberg NATO CEO until 2020

brussels - Jens Stoltenberg remains NATO CEO until 30 September 2020. The 29 member states of the military alliance have extended their mandate by two years.

NATO countries are confident that the Norwegian former prime minister can continue to adapt the alliance to the security challenges of the 21st century, they make a statement on Tuesday.

The 58-year-old Stoltenberg has led NATO since October 1, 2014. He was prime minister of Norway from 2000 to 2001 and from 2005 to 2013.
