washington - Sean Spicer, spokesman for US President Donald Trump, has apologized for comments he made Tuesday about Adolf Hitler. 'It was a mistake, I should not have done it,' Spicer told CNN.

During the daily press conference, he said Tuesday that Russia agreed to go very carefully about continuing to support Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. Then, the spokesman of the White House let slip that 'even someone as odious as Hitler is not sunk so low that he used chemical weapons. 'When Spicer asked to explain himself further, he said:' He (Hitler) did not poison gas used in the same way against his own people like Assad. That he has brought to the Holocaust centers, I know. 'With these 'centers' he evidently meant the concentration and extermination camps the Nazis.

His remarks caused a storm of criticism. Spicer talks about a blunder. 'I now want to concentrate on Assad, that I should have done. And I will stay within the lines when I talk about Assad. '
