'Spain commits coup in Catalonia'

madrid - The decision by Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy to send the government of Catalonia home and hold new elections is 'a coup' and an 'attack on democracy', said the Catalan presidency on Saturday.
'Premier Rajoy wants the parliament of Catalonia to be no longer a democratic parliament, and that will not happen,' said Carme Forcadell in a televised speech.
