seoul - The 36-year-old John Patterson Friday in the South Korean capital Seoul sentenced to prison for twenty years.

The American was found guilty of the murder in 1997 on the 22-year-old Cho Joong-pil. The murder of a Burger King restaurant called then huge negative emotions toward US soldiers stationed in South Korea.

The former military Patterson then went back to the United States and settled in Los Angeles. Initially sentenced a friend of his for the murder in Korea. Which was released when it was established to Patterson, the perpetrator should be. Which was subsequently extradited to the US. At his sentencing in Seoul Patterson said that he was not the perpetrator.

The American escaped life, because he was not yet eighteen at the time of the murder and consequently sentenced according to juvenile justice.
