Sony smart lamp can turn on your TV

- Sony brings an Internet-connected lamp on the market that can do more than match the color of the light on your mood. It can also serve as intercom, music player and alarm system.

The Multifunctional Light uses LED lighting technology from Toshiba and has built-in sensors for motion, light, temperature and humidity. It also has a slot for a memory card, infrared controller, speaker and microphone.

Through all these built-in gadgets, it is able to do things that you would not expect from a lamp. When you connect the lamp on your smartphone you can use the lamp as an intercom. Just before you get home, you can for example let your family know that they can go set the table.
TV Addicts can set the device that once they enter the house, the light switch on the TV. The thermostat can be controlled this way as well. Thanks to the built-in motion sensor, you can also use the device as an alarm system, it sends a notification to your smartphone when it detects motion. And for playing music, you do not need stereo. Just select the number on your smartphone after the blares from the built-in speaker of the multifunctional lighting.

The Multifunctional Light appears in the first half of this year on the Japanese market. A price is not yet known. It is also uncertain for the time being whether the gadget is coming to Europe.
