- Snapchat buys search app Vurb. The messaging service that pays about $ 110 million, converted nearly 100 million, reports The Information. Snapchat would pay the same amount to maintain the people behind Vurb.
With Vurb people can search for information, but then do something with it, like booking a taxi or buying movie tickets. Vurb has struggled to grow. Snapchat may want to apply the technology behind Vurb to help users discover Snapchat.
Earlier this year, Snapchat bought the bitmoji maker Bitstrips for $ 100 million, almost 90 million euros.
