tokio - The Japanese government has introduced a bill to ban smoking in public places and on. These include for schools and hospitals, where lighting up a cigarette is still permitted. The pinnacle of tolerance is the Ministry of Health, where to this day hangs a cigarette machine in the main hall.

The anti-smoking lobby grabs the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo to ban smoking everywhere. The new law is clear smoke still rising under conditions in restaurants. Restaurateurs and owners of bars allowed to build a smoking room in their establishment, so keep the inveterate smokers.

The government has so far not very active in the fight against unhealthy addiction. Japanese find smoking very expensive because of the high tax, but compared to most Western countries, a pack of twenty cigarettes downright cheap: 3.60 euros.
