Slovaks choose new parliament

- More than 4.4 million voters Saturday in Slovakia elect a new parliament. The Social Democratic Smer party of the current Prime Minister Robert Fico probably win again, but according to polls lose her in 2012, won an absolute majority. The question then forge a coalition with one of the numerous small Christian Democrat party Smer. A center-right coalition against Smer is not ruled out.

The main theme in the election is the refugee crisis. The government signed in December by the European Court of Justice objected to the EU decision to distribute refugees among member countries of the European Union. At this point Fico knows a large majority of the population behind. Protests of nurses and teachers have however taken again support the ruling party.

The polling stations are open until 22. 00 pm. Until then, no trends may be disclosed, not even on the rise.
