moscow - The former Russian double-spy Sergej Skripal may, according to Russia, have been poisoned with a substance that has never been produced in Russia or the Soviet Union. The Russian minister Sergej Lavrov (Foreign Affairs) observes this from research carried out in Switzerland.

According to Lavrov, a Swiss laboratory analyzed a sample of the drug that was used to poison Skripal. It would, among other things, have found traces of the means 'BZ'. According to the minister, this belonged to the arsenal of the United States, the United Kingdom and other NATO countries. 'The Soviet Union and Russia have never developed or stored similar chemical weapons,' said Lavrov according to news agency TASS.
