amsterdam - Dozens of windmills in the Netherlands have been shut down because there may be bolts are loosened which fix the blades.

At two mills in Schiedam and Haastrecht, that was all done, the NOS report Saturday. In 46 other mills which is still being investigated.

The blades at the mills in question are made of two steel pieces that are secured with bolts and nuts to each other. According to director Leo Endedijk association De Hollandsche Molen problem arises possible because the mills dwell causing water stagnation in the construction. Four percent of Dutch windmills has such a structure, he says.
