washington - On the internet, poignant sound recordings have surfaced of children crying for their parents at the Mexican border in Texas. The children are separated from their fathers and mothers by the policies of US President Donald Trump.
The recordings were posted on YouTube by the nonprofit organization ProPublica and were secretly made in a building of American customs. The children would be between 4 and 10 years old and from El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras. You can hear how the little ones keep asking their families. For example, a girl who has lost her parents asks: 'May I perhaps go to my aunt? Then she can take me home. '
