- The German government believes until the end of 2020 having to spend around 93.6 billion euros in costs related to the refugee crisis. That Der Spiegel reported Saturday on the basis of a note from the Federal Ministry of Finance, which is negotiating with the sixteen German states.

The costs relate to the costs of reception and integration, as well as to combat the reasons why people leave their region.

The estimates are based on the arrival of 600 000 migrants this year, 400 000 next year and 300 000 in each of the following years. The expectation is that 55 percent of recognized refugees has work after five years.
