Shell sues former employee

- Royal Dutch Shell has indicted its own former employee to the Dutch authorities because of the suspicions of illegal activities in the sale of an oil field in Nigeria in 2011.

Reuters reports that Wednesday. According to the British-Dutch energy group, the abuse came to light during an internal investigation.

According to Shell, this is not related to an ongoing legal procedure against Shell and the Italian oil company Eni in Italy about the purchase of another oil field.

Shell has reported to the Dutch authorities. The company is considering separate individual steps, according to the group.
