niigata - Due to the harsh winter weather of the past few days, five people have died in Japan. They are mostly older people who became victims. In Niigata, a ninety-year-old man was killed when he ended up in a snowy ditch.
Another man died when he fell from the roof while he was snow-clearing. The winter will still keep Japan in its grip for the time being: there will be a new cold front with even more snow. This will again cause problems for, among other things, traffic. In the past week, 1500 cars were stuck in the snow.
