Seven arrests for looting paintings Bacon

- Spanish police have arrested seven people on suspicion of involvement in the theft of five paintings of Francis Bacon.

The paintings were stolen last summer from the home of a friend and heir to the Irish-British painter (1909-1992) and an estimated 25 million euros worth.

The paintings have not been recovered and other valuables that were stolen from the house, are still missing, the Spanish newspaper El Mundo reported.

The police work came on the track when a research company was approached with previously unpublished photographs of the paintings. The investigator felt wetness and retired police.
