essingen - Due to an accident on a company site in the German town of Essingen in Baden-Württemberg, at least 17 people were injured, probably by inhaling toxic fumes. Five of them have been seriously injured in a hospital, reports the police.
Most victims complained of respiratory irritations and were examined as a precaution. Rescue service and fire brigade were massively pulled out. The chemical would have escaped from a damaged container.
The cause would be three leaking barrels with a toxic substance on the site of a scrap trade.
