Serious accident at obstacle run in Venlo

venlo - At the VenloStormt obstacle run, a female participant was seriously injured on a Saturday after she was walking from a meter-high slide. She would have collided with another participant and did not get over water. The victim was taken and cleaned by divers from the water. According to the organization, the woman was brought to the hospital in critical condition.

Saturday the rest of the obstacle run program was canceled.

Sunday is the event going on, reports the organization. The program is adapted in two parts, the organization decided after consultation with different security authorities. The Super Slide will not be included in the course. TopStorm, a contest for the fastest participants, is being adjusted. There is no match, there is no judging and no winner.

In obstacle runs, running is combined with obstacles to test the physical and mental condition of the participants.
