Senate VS wants to hear Assange

World August 8, 2018 18:12

london - The US Senate intelligence commission has asked Wikileaks founder Julian Assange to testify. This is reported by the whistleblower's website, which says via Twitter that the lawyers of Assange are considering the request. A possible meeting would have to 'meet a high ethical standard.'

WikiLeaks also shared a photo of the letter, which would have been prepared on August 1st. The committee says that it wants to hear Assange because of the investigation into the possible Russian interference in the American presidential election. Wikileaks then published e-mails from the Democratic Party that had been stolen by alleged Russian hackers.
