Selfie-free zones in Mumbai

- Police in the Indian city of Mumbai has imposed a ban on taking selfies at sixteen locations. It is dangerous to these places to make a photographic self-portrait.

This concerns in particular places along the sea. The ban was introduced after the death of a woman and a man last month. The woman fell into the sea while taking a selfie and the man tried to save her. The deceased man was found two days later, the body of the woman is still missing.

The police will patrol the selfie-free zones and fining people who, despite the ban put themselves on the snapshot. Possibly the number of places is where taking selfies is prohibited further expanded.

In the past three years were 19 Indians killed while making a selfie.
