baltimore - An American secret agent has stolen about 1600 bitcoins from his own government. The virtual money has been converted to worth 10 million euros. He has been sentenced to two years' imprisonment.

The 35-year-old man is already in prison for another bitcoin robbery. He was involved in the investigation into the underground marketplace Silk Road, which was taken out of air in 2013. The agent had to trace the administrators.

After the dismantling of trade, he closed for tons of bitcoins from the suspects. He was sentenced to nearly six years in prison in 2015.

After the conviction, while the agent was still at liberty, he also robbed the US government. That money was seized at a bitcoin fair. The man took the money from the government's 'wallet' (digital wallet) and transferred it to his own account. He has now been convicted of this.

Because the agent has helped to recover the virtual money, his penalty is quite low. Only after he has served the first custody of the prison can he begin his new punishment.
