- Still, not all schools have the security of personal data of students in order, warns the Knowledge Network, the public organization for education and ICT.

If they do not soon comply they can face large fines stringent new European legislation. The new rules will apply from May 2018.

'' The careful handling of personal data is not just a legal obligation to which schools have to comply, privacy is a human right that we consider it important that it be respected, '' said Job Fox, privacy expert at Kennisnet.

The organization begins this month, along with the PO Council and the Secondary Education Council, an education campaign to make schools aware of this.
