'Saudi Arabia blackmailing UN chief '

- UN chief Ban Ki-moon has gechanteeerd by allies of Saudi Arabia. Ban was decided under pressure to cut a coalition led by the Saudis of a blacklist. Insiders speak of blackmail.

Monday notified the UN that the coalition of the list of child rights violators will be achieved. A UN report on children and armed conflict which was released last Thursday, however, was highly critical of the coalition. The report stated that the coalition was responsible last year for 60 percent of cases in which victims were among children, with 510 dead and 667 wounded.

Saudi Arabia would have threatened to stop aid to Palestine and other UN projects. According to insiders the office of the UN chief was ringing off the hook by ministers of the Gulf countries and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), after the announcement that the coalition was on the list.
