Samsung unveils new Galaxy smartphones

- Electronics giant Samsung has unveiled on Sunday its latest flagship device at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, ​​the Galaxy S7. The S7 Edge, a variant with a rounded side is shown to the public.

The phones are largely similar specifications. The S7 has a 5.1 inch large screen, while the S7 Edge has a 5.5 inch large screen. Both have a resolution of 2560 by 1440 pixels. Like the LG G5 screen are those of the S7 and S7 Edge 'always on', which always shows the time.

Edge hot like its predecessor through a curved side where the screen, making it possible to place on the side of the device short cuts to favorite applications.

Both devices are dust and waterproof to 1 meter under water.

What processors contain the phones, depending on which version of the device has the buyer. It is certain that there is 4GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB of storage memory available. This can be expanded with a microSD card.

At the rear is a 12 megapixel camera with so-called 'dual pixel' technology. This makes it easier according to the makers to make good pictures in low light. On the front is a 5 megapixel camera.

The Galaxy S7 costs € 699, while the S7 Edge for € 799 will go on the counter. Both devices are available from March 11 in the Netherlands.
