Russians: Propaganda accusation is nonsense

moscow - Russia denies that a think tank led by President Vladimir Putin had developed plans to influence American elections. The director of the Russian Institute for Strategic Studies (RISS) denounced the charge Thursday as 'wishful thinking' that has nothing to do with the reality.

Sources around the US government declared Wednesday that the RISS laid the foundation for a Russian attempt to get Donald Trump in the White House. The US intelligence services should have confidential documents from the institute, including proposals for a propaganda campaign.

The Kremlin did not impress the accusation. 'I do not know anything about it,' said a government spokeswoman. 'I can only say that seven anonymous sources are not worth as much as one real one. 'Russia has always denied that it has attempted to influence the American elections.
