washington - A computer code that is linked to activities of Russian hackers, renamed by the Obama administration in Grizzly Steppe, was found on a laptop from a power company in the state of Vermont. The laptop was not connected to internal computer systems, the company announced Friday.

'We have immediately taken action by unplugging the laptop and federal authorities informed', the electricity from Burlington said in a statement.

The Department of Homeland Security had Thursday other electricity companies warned about the software used in 'Grizzly Steppe. The malware code found on the laptop may be the result of relatively harmless activities such as visiting a questionable website, said a source from that world. That may indicate that Russian hackers are not directly involved.
