Russian Supreme Court judges let an opponent is free

moscow - A detainee activist of the Russian opposition, Ildar Dadin, the Russian Supreme Court to be released immediately. The Supreme Court judges have his conviction set aside from 2015, Russian media reported Wednesday.

The 34-year-old Dadin was initially sentenced to three years in prison for applicants without a license. He received appeals 2,5 years in prison. Dadin was the first demonstrator who was sentenced under a stringent new law in 2014 because of a rally.

But the constitutional court ruled earlier this year that the conviction of Dadin had to be revised because the criminality of certain demonstration would not be proportionate.
