Russian singer kept out of Eurovision

kiev - The Russian singer Julia Samoilova may not occur during the Eurovision in Ukraine this year. Samoilova would have brought an 'illegal' visit in 2015 to Crimea. The 27-year-old gave two years ago a concert in Russia ingelijfde peninsula.

There was an investigation against the singer, who is in a wheelchair. In Ukraine there is a hefty prison sentence on traveling to Crimea on Russian territory. Kiev had earlier intention not to want to make an exception for her.

Crimea was taken during a violent political crisis in Ukraine by Russia in March 2014. Approximately half of the two million population is Russian, but internationally, the peninsula is occupied book.
