Russian ships away from Syrian port

moscow - Russian naval vessels have left their base in the Syrian port city of Tartous on the Mediterranean. The news agency Interfax was told by parliamentarian Vladimir Shamanov on Thursday.
This chairman of the parliamentary defense committee said that the boats have sailed for their own safety. He added that this is 'normal practice' when there are threats of attack.
