Russian diplomats leave London

london - The 23 Russian diplomats who have been deported by Great Britain leave that country on Tuesday. British media reported that diplomats and their families have been picked up in vans at the embassy in London and are on their way to the airport.

The Russians have to leave the country in response to the attack on former double spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia in Salisbury. London thinks that Moscow is behind that attack with nerve gas. Russia denies that.

The expulsion of diplomats is one of the measures announced by the government of Theresa May. The contacts with Russia are put on the back burner and there are no members of the government or royal house to the World Cup in Russia.
