Russia is calling ambassadors

moscow - The ambassadors of Germany, France and the United Kingdom arrived Friday at the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Moscow. The reason for their visit was not immediately clear. But it is expected that Russia will go out to expel diplomats from the three countries.

On Thursday evening, Russia had already announced the expulsion of 60 US diplomats. With that, Moscow responded to the decision of about 25 countries and NATO to expel more than 140 Russian diplomats. Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Moscow will send out as many diplomats as Russians have been expelled.

The jousting game is part of the conflict over the poisoned Russian ex-doublespion Sergei Skripal in England. London accuses Moscow of being involved in the case. Russia contradicts this.
