- A judge in Los Angeles has a request from Roman Polanski to make a statement rejected his forty-year-old rape case. The film director had asked the judge would determine his prison, before he returns to the US

The LA Times reports Monday that the court has issued a written statement that Polanski's 'motions and their requests were rejected.' The judge promised to have to consider next month on a separate application by the filmmaker to make a public testimony of the original prosecutor in the case. That document must clearly Polanski as he signed a deal in 1977, which later came to be at risk.

The now 83-year-old Polanski was accused forty years ago of drugging and raping a thirteen year old girl. In the agreement that he signed, lapsed and he admitted having had only 'unlawful sexual relationships' five more serious charges. Polanski was 42 days for evaluation in jail, but then fled the country because he feared the judge would sweep the earlier deal table.

Lawyers for the director asked the judge in Los Angeles earlier this month to end the case because Polanski has been behind bars for longer than was agreed in 1977. They requested the court to establish that in order for Polanski to pave the way to travel to the US. The filmmaker would, according to his lawyer to come to America after forty years to visit the grave of wife Sharon Tate. She was killed in 1969 by members of the Charles Manson cult. She was at that time more than eight months pregnant with a son with Polanski.
