'Rodent first victim global warming '
sydney - A rodent living in Australia, according to scientists, the first mammal to become extinct at the hands of the global warming. Scientists from the University of Queensland say in the American New York Times.
It is an animal known as the Bramble Cay-rodent and that occurred only on a tiny atoll in the Torres Strait, a sea between the Australian state of Queensland and Papua New Guinea. The sea level rise and salt water penetrating the animal according to scientists from the atoll disappeared and therefore extinct.
