- Smart Watches are useful for notifications, but they lack the classic look of a watch. Fortunately, there are also hybrid smart watches that offer the best of both worlds. We took three examined.

The three hybrid smart watches work with both iOS and Android and their energy efficiency, battery life lasts six months. The big difference with 'real' smart watches is that you do not get a preview of the message on your screen, but only a message that was received anything on the smartphone.

Fossil Q Tailor has a classic dial. The watch offers the ability to receive notifications. In the accompanying app allows you to set a time by notification, so you know what kind of message arrives on your phone. Since it is also a fitness tracker, you can see how many steps you've put the kilometers traveled, calories burned and sleep duration.

Skagen Misfit also part of the Fossil Group. The Skagen Connected shows great similarities with the Fossil Q Tailor. The design is modern and tighter, but even the app looks almost the same. The only difference is in the notification. Instead of time link the messages to one of the gray boxes on the dial.\n  \n   \n    \n    \n   \n   \n   \n      \n   \n     Fossil Q Tailor\n    \n   \n   \n   \n      \n   \n     misfit Phase\n    \n   \n   \n   \n      \n   \n     Skagen Connected

Of the three companies Misfit is no watchmaker. But one has experience with wearables. The Phase uses multiple Misfit apps. Ordinary app gives the information of the fitness tracker and the ability to customize the notification. This time, the color of the circle at the bottom of the dial. The smartwatch also works with Misfit Link, which transforms you into a remote control. You can control lights and music, communicate with friends and simply take a selfie.

Fossil Q Tailor (€ 199) and Skagen Connected (€ 219) are most similar to a classic watch. The cabinets are slightly thicker, but its design misstaat not the wrist. The Skagen will especially appeal to men, but the Fossil seems more aimed at women. What is a good step because many smart watches are often too cumbersome for a small wrist. Both smart watches sit.

The Misfit Phase (€ 179) unfortunately does not fall into the latter category. The cabinet is too thick. He is slightly bent so that it stands out less, but the watch is not comfortable. This is due to the rigid band. If smartwatch offers it again the most possibilities.

A hybrid smart watch is ideal for those who prefer a classic-looking watch instead of a smartwatch. Fossil Q Tailor and Skagen Connected work well, be comfortable and look good in design. The Misfit Phase works fine, but comes up short in other categories. As a woman, I prefer to Fossil, but the men around me always opt for Skagen.

+ The hybrid smart watches battery go six months.

+ The Fossil- and Skagen watches have a good design and comfortable seating.

+ Classic watch it yet smart.

- Misfit Phase is too thick to be an elegant watch and is also not good.
