- With sports summer ahead is a good projector convenient to enjoy along with the Tour de France or the Olympic Games. Epson comes with a hefty 18 kilos projector that shines silenced TV and movies on a screen or wall.

The EH-LS10000 considering not only quite a bit, but with 55 to 55 by 25 cm also pretty big call. But with its matt black and wavy design, the projector is certainly not ugly. You just need to find a good place to put him.

Side is a hidden control panel that allows you to perform the simplest actions, such as on and off and controlling the lens. At the back are the connections hidden behind a grid. This you have to unscrew a while, but after installing the cables are well concealed nice.

The projector includes two HDMI 2. 0 ports, which, thanks to HDCP 2. 2 also support ultra HD devices. Furthermore, there are to be found the inputs for component and composite cables. The EH-LS10000 has no built-in speakers, so you'll have yourself an amplifier and speakers to have to connect the device to sound.

The full specifications of the Epson EH-LS10000 can be read here.

The projector installation was me bad. The supplied remote control is intimidating large and full of buds, but actually you only have a few needed to get started quickly. It's a matter of setting the lens to the wall, adjust the focus and then select a color mode that is most comfortable for you. But who sets more demands on picture quality, has all the potential to change this.

Although it could be thought of in the volatility that this is a 4K projector, turns out on closer inspection there is enhanced 4K. That means it is not fully 4K, but the full HD images are enhanced by Epson in terms of quality so they do come close. The fact remains that the technique for upscaling is very impressive. The projector also supports 3D and two glasses are also included.

The picture quality is quite good. The image has a lot of contrast and black detail, beautiful colors and very sharp. With 80 inch image you will get a cinema and watching a movie via Netflix Ultra HD is a delight. The projector is very quiet and does not disturb while watching.

The EH-LS10000 does not like other projectors, use of lights, but lasers to project the image. The advantage is that it will last up to 30 000 hours. In comparison with the service life of 000 hours at an average of 3. the lamps, which is a big difference. Another advantage is that the device heats up quickly and is ready to start.

The EH-LS10000 has a pretty hefty price tag of € 6. 999. The JVC DLA-X7000 (€ 6. 499) is a 4K projector, but does not support 3D. Who wants to be a good device for less money, can also fine feet with the Epson EH-TW6600W. It offers Full HD picture quality and 3d.

Provided the EH-LS10000 is a good projector. I am impressed by the image quality. The device is so expensive that few people can afford it. It shows nicely what we can expect in the future of projectors. The only downside of the device is that it is not really 4K. I think when people have left so much money, they opt for a 4K copy.
