Retirement often not feasible for heavy occupations

amsterda - Dutch people with heavy occupations are no longer getting their retirement. They report prematurely ill and receive an incapacity allowance to bridge the period to their retirement, reports the Volkskrant.


The Metal Pension Fund (PMT) sees a doubling of the number of new disabilities since the retirement age increases from 65 to 67 years. Also at the Pension Fund Care \u0026 amp; Well-being, elderly people are more often (plus 20 percent) disabled.

'And the end of the growth of new unemployed people is still far out of sight', says Jan Berghuis of PMT Pension Fund. 'We have limited arrangements for early retirement
