rome - Matteo Renzi, leader of the Democratic Party in Italy, has decided to resign. His party suffered a considerable loss during the national elections. That reports the Italian news agency Ansa.
A spokesperson for Renzi could not confirm the stepping-up of the party leader.
Renzi will give a press conference at 17.00 hours.
