Red Cross actively at new Ebola outbreak

geneva - Now Ebola resurfaces in the West African state of Guinea, the Red Cross sends that special volunteer teams on the road. Forty trained volunteers traveled to the new Ebola area to try to find people who have the disease. They also give people learning how they can protect themselves against the virus.

The Red Cross also takes volunteers on hand to help at funerals. The new outbreak of Ebola has claimed five lives in a short time in Guinea. The disease is prevalent in an area in the south, close to the border with Liberia. The neighboring country has closed the border as a precaution.

Previous Ebola epidemic, the largest ever, cost more than 11 300 people died, mostly in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone.
